Teskooano 0.1.0

First Light

The first public release: star systems generated from a seed, with real gravity, in several views at once.

The first public release of Teskooano: a star system simulator in your browser, where every body pulls on every other.

Highlights

  • Generate a system from any seed. The same seed always gives the same system, with one to four stars, rocky, desert, ice, lava and ocean planets, gas giants, up to four moons per planet, rings and asteroid belts.
  • Real gravity. Every star, planet and moon pulls on every other, so orbits evolve as they would in space.
  • Several views at once. Open more than one view of the same system, each with its own camera, and arrange them side by side or in tabs.
  • Follow any body. The camera flies smoothly to the body you pick and follows it as it moves, and you can still look around it.
  • Orbit lines and labels, with the selected body’s orbit highlighted.
  • Simulation controls to play, pause and change the speed of time.
  • A starfield behind every system.
  • Details for every body: its type, size, mass and orbit.
